It has been a privilege to serve as Ward 2 Councillor over the past four years. I believe good local government starts with listening, being available and making sure residents have a strong voice at the council table.

I am running for Deputy Mayor to bring that same approach to all of Severn - working together, finding practical solutions and protecting what makes Severn such a great place to call home.

My Commitment to Severn

Elect me, Dan Janssen, as your Deputy Mayor, and I will:

LEAD FROM THE HEART:

I will put the people of Severn first and lead with empathy, respect and common sense. I will listen to residents, consider different perspectives and work to make decision that strengthen our community for the long term.

ACT WITH INTEGRITY:

I will continue to bring honesty, transparency and accountability to the council table. I believe public service is built on trust. I will be straightforward with residents, stand behind my decisions and always work in the best interests of our community.

BE YOUR VOICE:

I listen, be available and speak up when it matters. I have worked hard over the past four years to make sure residents are heard at the council table, I will continue to advocate for the people and communities that make Severn such a great place to call home.

Work Together

Good local government requires people who can work together, even when they don't always agree. I will continue to build respectful relationships with residents, fellow members of Council, Township staff and our community partners to find practical solutions and move Severn forward.

Moving Severn Forward

Severn is growing and changing. With that comes important decisions about affordability, infrastructure, services, development and how we protect the character of our communities.

I believe we can manage that change responsibly while keeping Severn a strong affordable and well-managed place to live.
